titleOfInvention Production of soap-free cationic emulsion
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain an emulsion containing fine particles stable even in the state of decreased amine group content and useful for the mixing to cement, etc., by carrying out emulsion polymerization of a polymerizable vinyl monomer using a specific water-solubilized graft copolymer as a dispersion stabilizer. n CONSTITUTION: The objective emulsion is produced by the emulsion polymeriza tion of a polymerizable vinyl monomer in the presence of a dispersion stabilizer consisting of a water-solubilized graft copolymer produced by (1) copolymerizing (A) 5W80pts.wt. of a radically polymerizable vinyl monomer having amino group (e.g. dimethylaminoethyl acrylate, diethylaminohydroxypropyl me thacrylate, etc.) and (B) 20W95pts.wt. of a vinyl monomer copolymerizable with the monomer A (the sum of A and B is 100pts.wt.) and (2) copolymerizing the monomer B in the presence of the copolymer produced by the step 1. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1988,JPO&Japio
