abstract PURPOSE:To bond the upper face and the side face of a surface skin easily and securely, and control the stiffness of the upper face of a monolithically molded sheet by providing a surface skin for the side face, bonded to the free edge of a skin for the upper face at a position forming a bonding line of a surface layer pad and a bottom layer pad and covering the side face of the bottom layer pad. CONSTITUTION:A skin 1 for the upper face is provided on a bottom force 10 and after closing a top force 12 and clamping periphery 1a, the surface skin 1 is sucked through a suction port 11 and vacuum molded into the shape of a bottom force surface. Stock solution of foaming urethane is injected from an injection hole 13 of the top force 12, and it is foamed, and a surface layer pad 2 at its lower face is formed into one piece with the surface skin 1. Said molded material is removed, and the upper end 5a of a skin 5 for the side face is sewed to the periphery 1a of the skin 1 for the upper face. Then, a bottom layer pad 6 which is foam molded by a separate mold is put into the skin 5 for the side face, and an upper face 7 and a lower face 3 of the pad 2 are bonded together. Lastly, the lower end 5b of the skin 5 for the side face is fixed to the lower face of the bottom layer pad 6.
