abstract PURPOSE: A dental material, obtained by treating the surface of crystallized calcium metaphosphate glass with a silane coupling agent, capable of preventing the deterioration in adhesive strength with time and having improved water resistance. n CONSTITUTION: A dental material obtained by treating the surface of a dental material, e.g. crown, inlay, bridge, etc., formed from crystallized calcium metaphosphate glass with a silane coupling agent, particularly preferably silane coupling agent, e.g. vinylethoxysilane, γ-methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane, etc. The dental material has improved adhesive property and durability particularly in mounting on teeth using a dental cement, particularly bonding resin cement and good water resistance. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1988,JPO&Japio
