titleOfInvention Production of octahydroacridine
abstract PURPOSE: To produce 1,2,3,4,4a,9,9a,10-octahydroacridine, by hydrogenating acridine in the presence of a Pt catalyst or a Pd catalyst and hydrogenating the obtained 9, 10-hydroacridine in the presence of a Pd catalyst. n CONSTITUTION: The objective 1,2,3,4,4a,9,9a,10-octahydroacridine can be produced by hydrogenating acridine in the presence of a Pt catalyst or hydrogenating in the presence of a Pd catalyst under hydrogen pressure of 30W150kg/cm 2 G at 50W100°C to selectively produce 9,10-dihydroacridine and hydrogenating the dihydroacridine in the presence of a Pd catalyst at 120W200°C (preferably 130W180°C) under hydrogen pressure of ≥30kg/cm 2 G. The Pd catalyst is preferably supported on alumina and the amount of Pd is 0.1W10wt% of the raw material. The objective compound can be produced in high yield and selectivity under mild condition. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1988,JPO&Japio
