titleOfInvention Stable prostaglandin composition
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a stable prostaglandin composition useful as an odynopoeia agent, vasodilator, suppressing agent for secretion of acid in the stomach, etc., having hormone-like action, by blending physiologically active prostaglandin with vinyl acetate resin. n CONSTITUTION: Prostaglandin is blended with 10W10,000 times as much as vinyl acetate resin. The prostaglandin and the vinyl acetate resin are dissolved in an organic solvent such as methanol, acetone, ethyl acetate, etc., or a mixed solvent thereof and then subjected to vacuum drying or through-flow drying to give the aimed substance. The substance can be blended with a proper plasticizer into sheet or mixed with a proper excipient into tablets or capsules. Vinyl acetate resin as a food additive suppresses decomposition of prostaglandin to provide a prostaglandin composition having improved shelf stability. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1988,JPO&Japio
