titleOfInvention | Production of polyester |
abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain a polyester containing fine CaCO 3 particles feed from the formation of coarse particles, by reacting an aromatic discarboxylic acid (esterifiable derivative) with a glycol and adding a specified glycol slurry to the reaction system in any arbitrary state. n CONSTITUTION: A glycol slurry (B) is obtained by homogeneously and finely dispersing a mixture (b) of fine CaCO 3 particles (i) of an average particle diameter ≤5μm with BeCO 3 (ii) containing 0.01W0.35g.atom of Be per g.atom of the Ca of component (i) in a glycol (a). Component B containing 0.01W2.0wt%, based on the formed polyester, component (i) is added to the reaction system in any arbitrary stage before the completion of a polycondensation reaction of a reaction product obtained by esterifying or transesterifying an aromatic dicarboxylic acid (esterifiable derivative) (A) with component (a). n COPYRIGHT: (C)1988,JPO&Japio |
