titleOfInvention Polyvinyl chloride composition
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a polyvinyl chloride composition having excellent moldability and flexibility in addition to excellent blood compatibility and low dissolution property and suitable for medical use such as artificial blood vessel, etc., by compounding a polyvinyl chloride with a modified polyester having high molecular weight. n CONSTITUTION: 100pts.wt. of a polyvinyl chloride is compounded with 10W150pts. wt. of a high molecular weight modified polyester produced by charging (A) 1mol of a polyester composed of an ester unit wherein the sum of carbon numbers of the diol component and the dicarboxylic acid component is 9W20, preferably 10W15, having carboxyl group at the terminal and having a number-average molecular weight of 500W20,000, preferably 1,000W8,000 and (B) 0.5W1.5mol of a compound having epoxy group at the terminal, preferably the compound of formula I or formula II and reacting the components with each other in the presence of (C) a catalyst comprising a IIA or IIB metal salt, preferably Ca salt or Zn salt of a 2W50C aliphatic mono(or di)carboxylic acid or aromatic mono(or di)carboxylic acid. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1988,JPO&Japio
