titleOfInvention Fluoranthene-3-isothiocyanate and fluorescent labeling reagent composed of said compound
abstract NEW MATERIAL:Fluoranthene-3-isothiocyanate of formula. n USE: A fluorescent labeling reagent for a compound having amino group. n PREPARATION: 3-Nitrofluoranthene is dissolved in a benzene-methanol solution and added with a methanol solution containing copper chloride. Sodium borohydride is added to the mixture and excess sodium borohydride is decomposed by the addition of 1N hydrochloric acid. The solvent is distilled out under reduced pressure to dryness and the residue is added with 1N aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide. The solution is extracted with benzene, the extract is dried with potassium carbonate anhydride and benzene is removed under reduced pressure to obtain a crude oily substance. The substance is crystallized in ethanol to obtain 3-aminofluoranthene. The product is made to react with an anhydrous benzene solution of thiophosgene, half of the benzene is distilled out and the residue is subjected e.g. to filtration, etc., to obtain the objective compound of formula. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1988,JPO&Japio
