titleOfInvention Manufacture of heat insulating box
abstract PURPOSE:To prevent cavities and voids from developing at both the end faces of a heat insulating box by delaying the foaming action in the early stage of reaction by a method wherein tertiary amine catalyst and organic acid are mixed in polyol liquid as foam insulating material. CONSTITUTION:Liquid wherein polyol liquid containing silicone foam stabilizer, flon foaming agent, tertiary amine catalyst and organic acid and isocyanate liquid are mixed is poured between an inner box and an outer box and expanded. The salt produced from the organic acid and the tertiary amine catalyst in the polyol liquid prevents the catalytic action from demonstrating at the time when the temperatures of the polyol liquid and of the isocyanate liquid are 20-30 deg.C in the early stage of reaction. The catalytic action is demonstrated by the separation of the organic acid and the tertiary amine catalyst from the salt at the time when the temperatures of the polyol liquid and of the isocyanate liquid reaches at least 50 deg.C due to the generation of heat of reaction. Consequently, the reaction can be intentionally delayed in the early stage of the reaction.
