titleOfInvention | Bacterium ns214 belonging to genus pseudomonas and production of d-amino acid |
abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain D-amino acid important as a raw material for drugs, agricultural chemicals, etc., by the use of a microbiological enzyme system, by treating a 5-substituted hydantoin with a specific mold belonging to the genus Pseudomonas into D-amino acid. n CONSTITUTION: A 5-substituted hydantoin is treated with a mold of bacterium NS214 belonging to the genus Pseudomonas capable of converting a 5-substituted hydrantion into D-amino acid or a treated material of the mold and converted into D-amino acid. Then the converted D-amino acid is collected. Methionine, alanine, valine, phenylglycine, etc., may be cited as the amino acid to be pro duced. Culture of the bacterium is usually carried out by shaking culture, aerat ed, spinner submerged culture, etc., under an aerobic condition. The culture is carried out at 10W35°C at pH 6W9 for 1W3 days. Separation of D-amino acid from the reaction solution, for example, is carried out under direct crystalli zation method by concentration, isoelectric point precipitation, etc., or ion exchange treatment, etc. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1988,JPO&Japio |
