abstract PURPOSE: To stably produce L-phenylalanine in high efficiency, by treating D,L-phenyllactic acid with a specific bacterial strain. n CONSTITUTION: D,L-phenyllactic acid is treated with one or more bacterial strains selected from Paracoccus genus, Erwinia genus, Proteus genus, Klebsiella genus, Enterobacter genus, Citrobacter genus and Microbacterium genus.
