titleOfInvention | Immobilized enzyme or immobilized microbial cell |
abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain an easily handleable immobilized enzyme or immoblized microbial cell having excellent immobilization rate, activity developing rate, gel strength and gel formation speed, by immobilizing an enzyme or microbial cell to a carrier composed of a polymer containing acetoacetic acid ester group. n CONSTITUTION: A polyvinyl alcohol resin having an average saponification degree of ≥60mol% and an average polymerization degree of 1,000W3,500 (e.g. polyvinyl acetate, polyvinyl alcohol modified by copolymerization, post-modified polyvinyl alcohol, etc.) is subjected to ester interchange with an acetoacetic acid ester to obtain a polymer containing 0.2W20mol% acetoacetic acid ester group and ≤20mol% residual vinyl acetate group. An enzyme or microbial cell is mixed to an aqueous solution of said polymer, formed in the form of a film having a water-content of ≥10% and, if the film has a thickness of 100μ, irradiated with ultraviolet radiation at an intensity of 3×10 4 W30×10 4 μW/cm 2 per 1sec for 0.5W10sec to obtain the objective immobilized enzyme or microbial cell. The above polymer may be crosslinked before supporting the enzyme of microbial cell. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1988,JPO&Japio |
