abstract | NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula R1-Ile-Phe-Thr-Phe-Arg-R2 (R1 is H or amino-protecting group; R2 is group of formula I or II). EXAMPLE:The compound of formula H-D-Ile-Phe-Thr-Phe-Arg-pNA.HCl (pNA is p-nitroaniline). USE:A color-developing or fluorescent substrate for the determination of an active protein Ca of protein C which is a coagulation enzyme precursor. It enables accurate determination of the enzyme in short time. PREPARATION:The objective compound can be produced e.g. by reacting arginyl p-nitroanilide dihydrochloride with an amino-protected isoleucylphenylalanylthresonylphenylalanine in an inert solvent such as THF using diphenylphosphoric acid azide as a condensation agent at 0 deg.C- room temperature and, if necessary, the amino-protecting group is removed from the product. |
