abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the titled composition, by using a specific nitromethylene derivative and specific carbamate based insecticide together, capable of cooperatively and synergistically enhancing the insecticidal activity thereof and particularly effective in controlling insect pests in paddy field and horticultural crops with hardly any phytotoxicity and toxicity. n CONSTITUTION: An agricultural and horticultural insecticidal composition, obtained by blending (A) a compound expressed by formula I (X is halogen, alkyl or alkoxy; n is 0, 1 or 2; m is 2 or 3) with (B) at least one compound selected from compounds expressed by formula II [R 1 is substituted or unsubstituted aryl, heterocyclic group or oxime; R 2 is H or lower alkyl; R 3 is lower alkyl or formula III (R 4 is lower alkyl; R 5 is lower alkyl, lower alkoxycarbonyl or lower alkoxycarbonylalkyl)] in an amount of, e.g. 0.1W20pts. wt., preferably 0.2W15pts.wt. based on 1pt.wt. component (A) as active substances and capable of exhibiting the above-mentioned excellent insecticidal activity. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1988,JPO&Japio
