titleOfInvention Method for cleaning fluid by utilizing titanium oxide
abstract PURPOSE:To efficiently clean fluid to be treated by fixing the ultrafine particles of titanium oxide to a water permeable or gas permeable carrier provided in a flow passage for the fluid to be treated, passing said fluid through the carrier and bringing the fluid into contact with the ultrafine particles of the titanium oxide irradiated with light. CONSTITUTION:The particles of the titanium oxide in the fluid to be treated is projected with the light to clean the fluid by the oxidizing power of the titanium oxide and to separate the particles of the titanium oxide from the cleaned fluid. A large number of the ultrafine particles 1 of the titanium are fixed to the water or gas permeable carrier 6 provided in the flow passage for the fluid to be treated and the fluid is passed through the carrier 6 so as to be brought into contact with the ultrafine particles 1 of the titanium oxide projected with the light, by which the fluid is cleaned. More specifically, the efficient cleaning treatment is executed by forming the titanium oxide to the ultrafine particles and the sepn. of the titanium oxide is facilitated. The continuous execution of the cleaning treatment is thus permitted.
