titleOfInvention 2-aryl-4-substituted-isoxazole derivative, production thereof and agricultural and horticultural fungicide containing same
abstract NEW MATERIAL:The 3-aryl-4-substituted-isoxazole derivative of formula I [X is halogen, lower haloalkyl, lower haloalkoxy or cyano; n is 1W5; Y is halogen or -A-R 1 (A is O, S, -NH- or -NR 2 -; R 1 and R 2 are H, lower alkyl, cyano, lower alkenyl, lower alkynyl, etc.); excluding the case that S n is 2,6-dichloro and Y is Cl]. n EXAMPLE: 3-(3-Chlorophenyl)-4-chloro-5-acetoxy-2-isoxazoline. n USE: Useful as an agricultural and horticultural fungicide. It exhibits high fungicidal activity against the phytopathogenic fungi such as gray mold, powdery mildew, late blight, etc., of various plants. n PREPARATION: The compound of formula III (Y 1 is halogen) which is one of the compound of formula I can be produced e.g. by halogenating the compound of formula II (X 1 is H, halogen, etc.; R 3 is lower alkyl) and heating the resultant compound. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1988,JPO&Japio
