titleOfInvention Silver halide photographic sensitive material having excellent processing stability
abstract PURPOSE:To enhance aptitude to rapid processing, storage stability of an image, and processing stability by incorporating specified silver halide grains, a specified compound, and a specified cyan dye-forming coupler dispersed in a high- boiling organic solvent having a dielectric constant of <=6 in a red-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer. CONSTITUTION:The silver halide photographic sensitive material is obtained by forming on a support, photographic constituent layers including blue-sensitive, green-sensitive, and red-sensitive silver halide emulsion layers, and the red- sensitive silver halide emulsion layer contains the silver halide grains having the silver chloride content of >=90mol%, the compound represented by formula I, and the cyan dye-forming coupler represented by formula II dispersed in the high-boiling organic solvent having a dielectric constant of <=6. In formulae I and II, Ar is arylene or cycloalkylene; RA is alkyl, alkoxy, hydroxy, amino, or the like; R'' is H, alkyl, or the like; M is H, an alkali metal, or ammonium; R1 is 2-6C alkyl; R2 is a ballasting group; and Z is H or a group to be released by the coupling reaction with the oxidation product of a color developing agent.
