abstract | NEW MATERIAL:2-Deoxy-4-O-phosphono-3-O-tetradecanoyl-2-( 3-tetradecano- yloxytetradecamido)-1-thio-β-D-glucopyranose expressed by the formula. n USE: An antitumor agent having Limulus activity, mitogenic activity, tumor necrosis inducibility, interferons inducibility, etc., and further exhibiting powerful activity as a colony-stimulating factor. n PREPARATION: For example, benzyl 2-deoxy-4,6-O-isopropylidene-3-O- tetradecanoyl-2-(3-tetrade-canoyloxytetradecanamide)-β-D-glucopyranoside is firstly debenzylated to convert into an acetylthio form. Then after de- isopropylidenation, C-6-OH is protected with trichloroethoxycarbonyl and bis-(2,2,2-trichloro-ethyl)-phosphono group is introduced into C-4-OH.
