abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a hemolyzing agent which can measure the hemolysis rate in red cells with high accuracy and good reproducibility by incorporating a polymer obtd. by a photopolymn. of a specific phenothiazine compd. as an effective component into the hemolyzing agent thereby forming the titled hemolyzing agent. n CONSTITUTION: The phenothiazine compd. (P) expressed by the formula is used as a starting raw material. In the formula, R denotes an N, N-di-lower alkyl amino lower alkylene group, for example, N, N-dimethyl aminopropyl group, etc., X denotes a halogen element, for example, chlorine, etc.; for example, a chlorpromazine is used as the compd. (P). The compd. (P) is photopolymerized to form the trimer or higher polymer. Such polymer is incorporated as the effective component into the hemolyzing agent. Since the polymer of the compd. (P) is incorporated into the hemolyzing agent, the hemolysis rate of the red cells of a sample to be examined is measured with the high accuracy and the exact clinical examination is carried out. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1988,JPO&Japio
