PURPOSE: To implement a biosensor characterized by excellent preserving property, by performing polishing and heat treatment on an electrode system whose main component is carbon. n CONSTITUTION: Conductive carbon paste including resin binder is printed in a parallel stripe pattern on an insulating substrate 1 comprising polyethylene terephthalate by screen printing. An electrode system comprising a counter electrode 2, a measuring electrode 3 and a reference electrode 4 is formed. Parts 2'W4', which act electrochemically, are made to remain, and insulating paste is printed. Heat treatment is performed, and an insulating layer 5 is formed. After the exposed parts 2'W4' are polished, heat treatment is performed. Therefore, a holding frame 6 comprising a synthetic resin is bonded to the insulating layer 5. A porous body 7, on which enzyme and an electron acceptor are held, is supported in a circular hole of the holding frame 6. A cover 8, which has an opening whose diameter is smaller than the outer configuration of the porous body is bonded. The entire body is made to be a unitary body. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1988,JPO&Japio |
