titleOfInvention Thermal recording material
abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a thermosensible material having a sufficient sensitivity, a printability to a thermal had, and a superior shelf stability, by containing a higher fatty acid copper salt, a sulfide of a metal, a binder resin, and an acylamino phenol derivative as a sensitizer, each of which is shown by a specific formula. CONSTITUTION:As a higher fatty acid copper salt shown by a formula I (where R1 represents 11-21C satd. or unsatd. aliphatic hydrocarbon radical), a copper laurate, etc., can be used. As a sulfide of a metal, a zinc sulfide, etc., can be used. As an acylamino phenol derivative which serves as a sensitizer and is shown by a formula II (where, R2 represents 1-6C alkyl, or aryl), o-acetylamino phenol, etc., can be used. As a binder resin, a methyl cellulose, etc., can be used. The higher fatty acid copper salt and the metal sulfide are separately ground by a ball mill, etc., with a solution prepared by dissolving the binder resin in a solvent, thereafter being mixed. The acylamino phenol derivative is dissolved in the mixture to make a thermal recording material in an ink form. This ink is applied on a substrate and dried, whereby a thermal recording sheet provided with a thermosensible layer (film) made of the thermal recording material is obtained.
