abstract PURPOSE:To obtain the titled resin having small swelling factor of shrinkage, high physical strength and a little breakdown of resin, by polymerizing a monomer containing one ethylene bond in the molecule with a monomer containing plural ethylene bonds in the molecule in the presence of rubber. CONSTITUTION:(A) A monomer [preferably styrene compound, nitrile compound, (meth)acrylic acid compound or heterocyclic vinyl compound] containing one ethylene bond in the molecule is polymerized with (B) a monomer (preferably divinylbenzene, trivinylbenzene, divinyltoluene, divinylketone, diallyl phthalate or diallyl maleate) in the presence of (C) rubber (preferably styrene-butadiene or butadiene rubber) to give the aimed resin.
