titleOfInvention Dispersant for water slurry of finely divided carbonaceous powder
abstract PURPOSE: To realize an increase in the flurry concentration and a prolonged standing stability of the slurry, by adding two kinds of salts of a sulfonic group- contg. arom. hydrocarbon polymer in particular proportions to a water slurry of a finely divided carbonaceous powder. n CONSTITUTION: The title dispersant contains a low-MW polymer (c) having a weight-average MW of 700W7000 and a high-MW polymer (d) having a weight- average MW of 8000W30000 in a component (c) to component (d) weight ratio of 10:90W95:5. These polymers are selected from among sulfonic group-contg. hydrocarbon polymers selected from among the following polymers (1) and (2) and. Polymer (1): a polymer prepd. by polymerizing at least one monomer selected from among polymerizable arom. sulfonic acid monomers (indispensable component) (a) and polymerizable hydrocarbon monomers (b). Polymer (2): a polymer prepd. by polymerizing at least one monomer selected from among polymerizable hydrocarbon monomers and contg. at least one arom. hydrocarbon monomer as an indispensable component to prepare a polymer and sulfonating the polymer. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1988,JPO&Japio
