titleOfInvention | Purifying treatment |
abstract | PURPOSE: To purify contaminated fluid with high efficiency by a simple method, by using an adsorbent to adsorb and remove contaminants while carrying the contaminated fluid by a Coanda spiral flow. n CONSTITUTION: Contaminated fluid such as air and water which is contaminated with bacteria, microorganisms and poisonous gas is pressurized with a compressor 4 and sent to the annular slit 3 of a Coanda spiral flow forming device 1 and a granular adsorbent such as activated carbon fed from a hopper 6 is introduced through an introduction port 5. The Coanda spiral flow formed in the Coanda spiral flow forming device 1 carries the contaminated fluid and the adsorbent to a duct 2 and mixes them. The contaminated fluid is purified in this process. This carry is high-speed and treatment in a short time is performed and it differs from the mixing in a turbulent flow and therefore the contact of the adsorbent and the inner wall of the pipe is remarkably inhibited. In the separators 7 provided to the outlet of the duct 2, purified fluid is recovered through the separation pipes 8, 9 and the adsorbent is recovered through a recovery pipe 10 and the recovered adsorbent is circulated to the hopper 6 after regeneration. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1988,JPO&Japio |
