abstract PURPOSE: To obtain excellent wear resistance by providing a back coating layer contg. a carbon black treated with at last one kind selected from a group consisting of polyamine and the modified matter thereof to a titled medium. n CONSTITUTION: The carbon black (CB) treated with at least one kind selected from the group consisting of the polyamine and the modified matter thereof is used. Namely, the back coating layer contg. the CB treated with at least one kind selected from the group consisting of the polyamine and the modified matter thereof is provided to the medium. This polyamine or the modified matter thereof is capable of extremely efficiently treating the surface of the CB and has excellent affinity to various solvents and resins and, therefore, the CB can be easily and uniformly microdispersed into the back coating layer and the CB component and the binder component adhere tightly to each other. Consequently, the back coating layer is extremely rigid and the dislodgment of the CB is obviated. The excellent wear resistance is thereby obtd. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1988,JPO&Japio
