abstract PURPOSE: To obtain an anticorrosive paint composition markedly improved in anticorrosive property, by incorporating an inorganic ion exchanger based on a specified metallic compound. n CONSTITUTION: The title composition containing at least one inorganic ion exchanger based on compound of Group IV and/or Group VB metals [e.g., hydrated zirconium oxide, hydrated titanium oxide hydrated tin oxide, hydrated antimony (V) oxide, hydrated bismuth oxide, hydrated bismuth nitrate, zirconium phosphate, titanium phosphate, tin phosphate or lead hydroxyapatite]. This composition is markedly improved in anticorrosive property as compared with a conventional paint and can sufficiently prevent rusting or blistering even in severe environment of use when applied to a metal such as iron, aluminum or magnesium, alloy thereof or a product plated therewith.
