abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain the titled high quality soln. having a remarkably lowered concn. of TOC (total org. carbon) by distilling an aq. hydrazine hydrate soln. in the presence of a salt of an inorg. acid or the like to distill off TOC and by distilling the resulting concd. soln. again. n CONSTITUTION: NH 3 is oxidized with an oxidizing agent such as H 2 O 2 in the presence of ketone and the resulting ketazine is hydrolyzed and purified by distillation to obtain an aq. hydrazine hydrate soln. 1 having about 500W1,500ppm TOC (total org. carbon) content. The soln 1 is fed to the lower part of a distilling column A, a soln. 2 of hydrochloride, sulfate, phosphate, carbonate or the like of hydrazine such as neutral hydrazine sulfate is fed to the upper part of th column A, thus to concentrate the soln. 1 by distillation. Water 3 contg. TOC is discharged from the top of the column A and the concd. soln. is drawn out of the bottom of the column A, fed to a distilling column B and distilled again.
