titleOfInvention Novel guanidinomethyl-thiophenecarboxylic acid derivative
abstract NEW MATERIAL:A 5-guanidinomethyl-thiophene-2-carboxylic acid derivative expressed by formula I (R is H or lower alkyl) or salt thereof. n EXAMPLE: Ethyl 5-guanidinomethyl-thiophene-2-carbonylaminobenzoate. n USE: A medicine and active ingredient in antipeptic ulcer agents having low toxicity and inhibitory activity against 15-hydroxyprostaglandin dehydrogenase and considered as usable for curing and treating symptoms, such as gastric and duodenal ulcer gastritis, enteritis, etc. n PREPARATION: For example, 5-guanidinomethyl-thiophene-2-carboxylic acid expressed by formula II or a reactive derivative thereof is reacted with a 2- aminobenzoic acid derivative expressed by formula III (R 3 is lower alkyl) or reactive derivative at the amino group thereof to provide the compound expressed by formula I (R is H), which is hydrolyzed to afford the compound expressed by formula I (R is lower alkyl). n COPYRIGHT: (C)1988,JPO&Japio
