PURPOSE:To obtain an extracted solution of seed of Cuscuta japonica choisy with a solvent and/or an extract of seed of Cuscuta japonica choisy prepared by distilling away the solvent, having promoting action on sebum secretion, mixable with cosmetic or external preparation for skin. CONSTITUTION:Powder of seed of Cuscuta japonica choisy known as a crude drug is extracted with a water-soluble solvent such as methanol, ethanol or water or an organic solvent such as n-hexane, chloroform, ethyl ether or benzene alone or a mixture thereof to give an extracted solution with a solvent or an extract. The extraction temperature may be low temperature, room temperature or high temperature. The amount of the extracted solution or the extract added to cosmetic or external preparation for skin is preferably 0.01-10wt.% calculated as the extract based on the sum amount. |
