abstract | PURPOSE: To stabilize creep torque by determining the target idling speed in a running range during an automatic choke being in operation according to the water temp. of engine, and by controlling the transmission capacity of a start clutch on the basis of this target idling speed. n CONSTITUTION: This automatic starting clutch is used in combination with a speed changer and an engine equipped with an automatic choke device, wherein the transmission capacity is controlled by an actuator continuously. Here an electronic control device 60 is provided, in which are entered detection signals given by different sensors 61-66 which are to sense the operating condition of the engine. The electronic control device 60 determines the target idling speed corresponding to the engine water temp. in the running range. Then control signal is given to solenoids 44, 46 as actuators so that the actual idling speed approaches the determined target idling speed, and the transmission capacity of the start clutch is adjusted. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1988,JPO&Japio |
