abstract | PURPOSE: To use a cationic polyurethane membrane as a membrane bioreactor, by adsorbing and supporting an enzyme on a cationic polyurethane membrane, a reaction product of an adduct of a water-soluble urethane prepolymer with imidazole and a chain extender. n CONSTITUTION: A membrane of a cationic polyurethane is prepared by reaction between an adduct of a water-soluble urethane prepolymer with imidazole and a chain extender. An oxidase and a reductase to have nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide or nicotinamide-adenine dinucleotide phosphate as a common coenzyme are adsorbed and immobilized to the surface and the back sides of the cationic polyurethane membrane to form an enzyme immobilized membrane wholly impregnated with the common coenzyme. The enzyme immobilized membrane is useful as a membrane bioreactor useful in oxidation-reduction reaction. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1988,JPO&Japio |
