titleOfInvention | Blood vessel contrast catheter |
abstract | PURPOSE: To make the surface of a catheter hard to generate the agglutination of blood components, by coating the surface of the catheter composed of a tube made of a synthetic resin having a multilayer structure with an antithrombus polymer membrane. n CONSTITUTION: In a catheter composed of a tube made of a synthetic resin wherein a liquid drug lead-out hole 6 is provided to the leading end part thereof and a liquid drug introducing port 7 is provided to the rear end thereof and the hollow part thereof is set to a liquid drug transport passage 5, the material of the tube is composed of a polyvinyl chloride or polyurethane resin. A multilayer structure means a structure wherein a plurality of layers composed of a different kind of synthetic resins are laminated or a structure wherein a knitted or woven material is contained in a synthetic resin layer 1. An antithrombus polymer is a heparinized hydrophylic copolymer containing vinyl chloride as a constitutional component and consists of vinyl chloride and a hydrophylic monomer unit and, from the aspect of the adhesiveness with the base material and heparin content after heparinization, the copolymer wherein the ratio (hydrophylic monomer/vinyl chloride) thereof is 1/9W8/2 is applied to the surface of the tube using a common solvent. By this constitution, a side effect is reduced and the long-term administration of a therapeutic drug can be performed. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1988,JPO&Japio |
