titleOfInvention Treatment of plating waste liquid containing phosphorous acid or its salt
abstract PURPOSE: To effectively treat the title waste liquid by introducing a photocatalyst carrying fine catalytic particles into the plating waste liquid contg. phosphorous acid and thereafter casting light thereon. n CONSTITUTION: A photocatalyst is formed by carrying the fine particles of a catalyst consisting of metal such as Pt and Ni and metallic oxide such as RuO 2 which activate the photocatalyst on the surfaces of semiconductor particles such as SiC, CdS and TiO 2 . This photocatalyst is introduced into waste liquid contg. phosphorous acid or its salt and then light is cast by sunlight, halogen flash and xenon flash to decompose phosphorous acid or the like. Furthermore Cu and Na, etc. are added thereto and phosphate difficult-to dissolve in water is formed and thereafter separated and removed. Thereby this method largely contributes to pollution prevention. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1988,JPO&Japio
