titleOfInvention Silver halide photographic sensitive material
abstract PURPOSE:To obviate degradation in sensitivity and to prevent an increase in fogging density as well as to change the color tones of silver images by providing at least one silver halide emulsion layer on a base and incorporating a specific compd. therein. CONSTITUTION:This photosensitive material is constituted by providing at least one silver halide emulsion layer on the base and incorporating the compd. expressed by the formula therein. In the formula, EAG denotes an electron acceptive group; N denotes a nitrogen atom, and X denotes an atomic group contg. O or O or N, respectively. R<1>, R<2> denote a mere coupler or group except a hydrogen atom, and TD denotes a group which becomes a dye having high solubility in water after releasing, respectively. Time denotes a group which releases TD via the ensuing reaction that takes place by being triggered by the cleavage of an N-X bond, and (t) denotes 0 or 1 integer. Solid lines denote bonds and at least one of broken lines denote bonds. The degradation in the sensitivity is, therefore, obviated and the increase in the fogging density is prevented; in addition, the color tones of the silver images are changeable.
