titleOfInvention Urea and thiourea derivative and production thereof
abstract NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I (R is halogen, methyl, trifluoromethyl or nitro; X is O or S). n EXAMPLE: N-(p-Chlorophenyl)-N'-(2-hydroxyl-2-phenylethyl)urea. n USE: An antiulcer agent useful in prevention and treatment of ulcer in digestive organ. n PREPARATION: An isocyanate or isothiocyanate expressed by formula II is reacted with α-aminomethylbenzenemethanol in a solvent such as acetonitrile at 0°C W temperature of boiling point of the solvent for 30minW3hr to provide the aimed compound expressed by formula I. Thus the urea and thiourea derivative having high optical purity is obtained without accompanying side reaction. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1988,JPO&Japio
