abstract PURPOSE: To obtain an effective suppository free from mucosa irritation, by packing a uniform mixture comprising a ground blend of emorfazone and a cyclodextrin and fats and oils in an oily state at normal temperature as main components into soft capsules. n CONSTITUTION: A uniform mixture having 8,000W15,000 centipoise viscosity at normal temperature, comprising a ground blend of emorfazone shown by the formula, a nonacidic anti-inflammatory analgesic and a cyclodextrin (preferably a blend of 1mol. or the former and 0.1W1.0mol., especially 0.2W0.5mol. of the latter) and a oily base selected from pharmaceutically acceptable fats and oils in an oily state at normal temperature, preferably cotton seed oil or mixed acid group triglyceride of caprylic acid and caproic acid, as main components, is packed into soft capsules.
