abstract PURPOSE: To make it possible to form a resin composition which does not discolor with time and has an antibacterial property as excellent as that of a resin containing a conventional antibacterial zeolite, by mixing a specified antibacterial zeolite with a discoloration inhibitor and a resin. n CONSTITUTION: This antibacterial resin composition is formed of an antibacterial zeolite prepared by replacing part or the whole of the ion-exchangeable ions in a zeolite by antibacterial metallic ions, a discoloration inhibitor and a resin. Said antibacterial metallic ion is at least one metallic ion selected from among ions of silver, copper and zinc. It is desirable that said antibacterial zeolite contains 0.5W5wt.% ammonium ions, 0.1W15wt.% silver ions, 0.1W8wt.% copper ions and 0.1W8wt.% zinc ions.
