Crystal anisotropy oxide magnetic material and its manufacture |
abstract |
PURPOSE: To manufacture a crystal anisotropy oxide magnetic material having a high saturation magnetization and a low temperature dependency of coercive force, by providing an oxide magnetic powder consisting of a plate crystal having a specified average particle size and a plate ratio which includes a specific metal ingredient in its crystal structure and whose crystal has an x-ray diffraction pattern as being a spinel. n CONSTITUTION: A hexagonal ferrite powder which contains one or more of metallic elements of Ba, Sr, Pb or Ca as a constitutive element of the crystal in its crystal structure and has a 5μm average particle size, is prepared. Said ferrite powder is brought into contact with one or more of materials selected from a glycoside, saccharose, polyhydric alcohol, hydroxy carboxylic acid or its salt in a medium at ≥100°C in the presence of an alkali. The anisotropy oxide magnetic material thus obtained is an oxide magnetic material consisting of a plate crystal having a 0.01W1.0μm average particle size and a 2W30 plate ratio. Moreover, said magnetic powder has its axis of easy magnetization in the direction of a minor axis (a rectangular direction of the plate crystal surface) of a (001) axis which is orientated in the same direction as the hexagonal ferrite. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1988,JPO&Japio |
