abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a cosmetic and a bathing agent providing the skin with moisture and wetting, having excellent warmly bathing effects, from rice, by cleaning unpolished rice by a rice-cleaning machine, removing red rice bran part, further polishing to give white rice bran, steaming the white rice bran, saccharifying with yeast ad fermenting. CONSTITUTION:Unpolished rice is cleaned by a rice-cleaning machine, red rice bran part is removed, the rice is further cleaned, 50-92% white rice bran part is separated and collected. The prepared white rice bran is sprayed with water, well stirred and steamed. The steamed white rice bran is mixed with water, blended with KOJI or amylase and yeast culture or yeast, saccharified and fermented simultaneously or separately. The saccharified and fermented material directly give a liquid substance or is roughly filtered or pressed and filtered to give the liquid substance. The liquid substance is used as a cosmetic and a bathing agent. This product has rinsing effects, dandruff preventing effect and improving effects on spread of a cosmetic, is a completely new natural and is safe. The remaining residue is used as rice for SAKE (rice wine) and resources are effectively utilized.
