abstract | PURPOSE:To obtain a safe hair growth agent, containing a specific cyclic ether compound as an active ingredient and having particularly improved hair regeneration effects. CONSTITUTION:A hair growth agent containing a cyclic ether compound expressed by formula I (R is H or lower alkoxy) as an active ingredient. Compounds expressed by formulas II and III are cited as typical examples of the compound expressed by formula I which is the active ingredient. Furthermore, the compound expressed by formula III which is the active ingredient is produced by dissolving 6.1mg compound expressed by formula IV in 2ml dioxane, dripping a dioxane solution of 5mg dicyclohexylcarbodiimide (DCC) (dissolved in 3ml dioxane) for 20min, then stirring the mixture solution at room temperature for 15hr, subsequently concentrating the reaction solution under reduced pressure, adding a small amount of ethyl acetate to the residue, filtering off insoluble substances, concentrating the obtained filtrate and purifying the residue through PTLC. |
