titleOfInvention Atomic absorption spectro photometer
abstract PURPOSE: To shorten the time for an analysis operation and to enhance the sensitivity of atomic absorption by providing a hermetic structure which permits evacuation to a vacuum and means for executing heating for drying, ashing and atomizing of liquid drops on an electric furnace. n CONSTITUTION: Sample liquid drops 20 are injected through an aperture 16 into a cylindrical heating body 11 and internal airtightness is maintained by a cap 27. An opening/closing device 28 is opened to operate a vacuum evacuation pump 26 so that the internal air of the heating body 11 is discharged. The heating body 11 is heated by the specified heating stage built in a power supply. Namely, the heating current from terminals 14, 15 is supplied and the rays of a light source 23 are converted by atomic absorption to an electric signal. On the other hand, the heating stage is classified to three stages; drying, ashing and atomizing and the heating stage is determined by the temp. and time at and for which the heating body 11 is heated. The time for the analysis operation is thus shortened and the sensitivity of the atomic absorption is enhanced. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1988,JPO&Japio
