abstract PURPOSE: To simply separate U and trace rare earth elements also without necessitating a large apparatus by adding chelating agent to an oxidizing soln. contg. U and rare earth element and then adding with aq. ammonia or gaseous ammonia. n CONSTITUTION: The U is precipitated as ammonium diuranate by adding the chelating agent to the oxidizing soln. contg. U and rare earth element and then adding the aq. ammonia and/or the gaseous ammonia. By means of the above-mentioned process, trace rare earth element is efficiently separated with an extremely simple operation.
