titleOfInvention Electrically conductive resin composition
abstract PURPOSE: To provide the title compsn. which has excellent persistent electrical conductivity, mechanical properties and moldability and gives molded products having an excellent appearance, etc., by blending a thermoplastic resin with an electrically conductive fibrous filler bundled with a butyral resin. n CONSTITUTION: An electrically conductive fibrous filler (a) having a fiber length of 1W15mm and an aspect ratio of 20W5,000 (pref. in the form of 500W10,000 bundles of fibers) is immersed in a soln. (b) having a viscosity of 10W370cps obtd. by dissolving a butyral resin (e.g., polyvinyl butyral) in a solvent to bundle the fiber. If desired, the fiber is cut in lengths to obtain a butyral resin-bundled electrically conductive fibrous filler (B). A thermoplastic resin (A) pref. a styrene resin (e.g., PS capable of dispersing non-rigid component particles) is blended with 0.1W2.0vol.% component B and optionally, a lubricant (e.g., tetrabromoethane), a flame retarder (e.g., decabromodiphenyl ether), a colorant, an antioxidant, etc. (C). n COPYRIGHT: (C)1988,JPO&Japio
