| abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain a matrix type display device which has a high display grade and can make large-capacity display by providing org. material layers which are interposed between lead wirings and respective display electrodes and are electrically cascatenated and forming the org. material layers of one of the groups consisting of specific compds. at the main chain or side chain and resin having film formability. n CONSTITUTION: The plural lead wires 2, the display electrodes 5 provided by plural pieces each for each of the wirings 2, and the org. material layers 3 which are interposed between the wirings 2 and the electrodes 5 and are electrically cascatenated are provided on at least one substrate 1 constituting the display device. The org. material layers 3 are formed of at least one of the group consisting of anthracene, pyrene, phenanthrene, coronene, indole, carbazole, oxazole, isoxazole, thiazole, imidazole, pyrazole, oxadiazole, pyrazoline, thiazole, triazole and hydrazone compds. at the main chain or side chain and resin having film formability.
