titleOfInvention Reversibly photo-color developable composition
abstract PURPOSE:To provide the titled composition capable of color developing by light energy and of color fading by application of thermal energy, comprising a dialkyl(4-hydroxyphenyl)sulfonium salt, electron-donating color developable organic compound and protophilic compound. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition can be obtained by pref. enveloping in microcapsules (A) a dialkyl(4-hydroxyphenyl)sulfonium salt of formula (R1 and R2 are each H, alkyl alkenyl, alkoxyl, etc.; R3-R6 are each 1-9C alkyl, etc.; X<-> is ClO4<->, BF4<->, PF6<->, AsF6<->, SbF6<->, etc.), (B) an electron-donating color developable organic compound (e.g., triphenylmethane phthalide, fluoran, phenothiazine, etc.) and (C) a protophilic compound (e.g., alcohol, ester, ether, ketone).
