abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a resin composition excellent in balance among mechanical properties about rigidity and good in moldability, oil resistance and chemical resistance, comprising a polyolefin, a polyphenylene ether and a specified partially hydrogenated block copolymer. CONSTITUTION:A polymer composition comprising 20-80wt.% polyolefin (A) (e.g., propylene/ethylene block copolymer), 20-80wt.% polyphenylene ether (B) [e.g., poly(2,6-dimethyl-1,4-phenylene) ether] and 4-50wt.% partially hydrogenated alkenyl aromatic compound/conjugated diene block copolymer (C) containing 45-80wt.% recurring units derived from an alkenyl aromatic compound (e.g., partially hydrogenated styrene/butadiene block copolymer). This composition is excellent in balance among mechanical properties about rigidity and heat resistance, good in moldability, organic solvent resistance and chemical resistance and suitable for injection molding, extrusion and blow molding.
