PURPOSE:An external preparation for skin especially effective for preventing, remedying and treating pimples, effectively preventing dandruff by using it on the scalp, obtained by blending an anti-inflammatory drug with herbaceous peony, peony or an extract thereof. CONSTITUTION:(B) One or more selected from herbaceous peony, peony and an extract thereof and (B) one or more anti-inflammatory drugs selected from glycyrrhizic acid, allantoin, indomethacin and an derivative thereof as active ingredients are blended to give an external preparation for skin having improved mildly suppressing effects on inflammation, penetrating to the skin extremely well, providing neither irritation nor hormone-like side effects at all and especially effective for preventing, remedying and treating pimples and effective for preventing dandruff. The amount of the component A is >=about 0.005wt% in case of powder or essence - preferably to about 10wt% calculated as dried residue based on the total amounts of the composition and the amount of the component B is 0.001-20wt% preferably 0.01-10wt%. |
