abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a novel industrially useful luminous substance showing excellent blue emission and high luminous strength, by including bivalent Eu and Mg in a poly(meth)acryloyloxyalkyl crown ether. n CONSTITUTION: The aimed blue luminous substance obtained by including (B) (i) bivalent Eu and (ii) one or more of Mg, Ca, Sr and Ba in (A) a poly(meth) acryloyloxyalkyl crown ether (preferable example; 18-crown-6,15-crown-5) having preferably ≥300 polymerization degree.
