abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain the titled easily producible capsule drug having sufficiently high buoyancy and strength, by adding a drug-active component to molten polyethylene glycol, oil and fat, etc., filling the mixture in a hard capsule body soluble in stomach and closing the body with a cap insoluble in stomach leaving a space in the capsule. n CONSTITUTION: Molten polyethylene glycol and/or oil and fat (e.g. cacao fat, stearic acid, cetyl alcohol, etc.) is mixed with a drug-active component, preferably an oral drug desired to have prolonged activity (e.g. amoxicillin, cephalexin, etc.) or a polyethylene glycol or an oil or fat is mixed with a drug-active component under melting. The mixture is filled in a body of a hard capsule soluble in stomach and the body is closed with a hard capsule cap insoluble in stomach in a manner to leave a space (5W40% of the whole inner volume) in the capsule. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1988,JPO&Japio |
