titleOfInvention | Electrically conductive yarn and production thereof |
abstract | PURPOSE:To obtain electrically conductive yarn having low surface electric resistance, high destaticizing effects and stable qualities free from blacking and falling off, by forming a core component of modified crosssectional shape containing an electrically conductive substance and having plural acute parts and a sheath part completely coating the core component. CONSTITUTION:A core component (e.g. polyethylene) containing an electrically conductive substance (e.g. stannic oxide) and a sheath component (e.g. polyethylene terephthalate) surrounding the core solution and comprising a fiber-forming polymer are subjected to melt spinning by the use of a sheath-core type conjugated spinning device to give sheath-core conjugated yarn wherein the core solution is completely covered with the sheath component and the crosssectional shape of the core component has two or more acute parts. The sheath-core conjugated yarn is subjected to electric discharge treatment between high-voltage electrodes to give the aimed electrically conductive yarn wherein at least one thinnest thickness Vi formed by the acute part of the core component and the outer periphery of the sheath component satisfies the formula, the yarn surface has <=10<10>OMEGA/cm order electric resistance of yarn surface and a ratio of surface electric resistance value (OMEGA/cm) and internal electric resistance value (OMEGA/cm) between sections of <=10<3>. |
